We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Research Scientist to lead cutting-edge research projects and drive innovation in the fields of advanced materials for Water Filtration. This role combines scientific expertise, development of innovative technologies, and collaboration to address industry challenges.Executes Research projects from conceptualization to commercial production launch.Designs and develops of new technologies using creative solutions.Assessing viability and feasibility of new technologies.Collects, records, reports and present results to peers and supervisor/manager either orally or in writing.Independently applies scientific principles to achieve project objectives, including the design and execution of complex experiments, and analysis and interpretation of data without supervision.Knowledge of various analytical techniques and interpretation of data from instruments independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, IC, UV/Spec, various wet chemistry analyses, IR, Raman Spectroscopy, ICP, HPLC, AAS, TGA, DSC, Particle size analysis, SEM, XPS, WAXD, etc.Understands chemical structure and their property relationships and apply them in various project activities. Utilizes a broad range of practical techniques in surface chemistry and material science.Closely follow and evaluate scientific literature, publications, and draw conclusions for the company, gathering business and technical intelligence through patent, technical network, and literature.Responsible for scientific oversight on novel material synthesis and scale up, manufacturing process qualification and implementation into future.Skills and Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry with specialization in Material Science, Surface Chemistry, Polymers, Nanomaterials, Physical and Inorganic Chemistry, solid state materials, Catalysis, or Organic chemistry (or) a related degree with expertise in non-wovens technology.Ability to lead projects, learn new domains, and work in multi-disciplinary teams.Excellent Communication and Presentation skills for presenting complex ideas and findings.Genuine enthusiasm for materials research in an interdisciplinary, application-oriented field.Knowledge of fiber-based sciences and/or activated carbon chemistry is a plus.Experience in industrial processes is a plus.Knowledge of sustainability related technology and practices is a plus.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
