Senior Research Technician - Organic Materials Coatings and Testing

Role Profile

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Laboratory Assistant to support our Organic Materials Team. This role is instrumental in the development, testing, and analysis of organic coatings and materials. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of organic chemistry and materials, as well as laboratory safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and application of organic coatings for testing. Conduct routine and non-routine tests on materials and coatings to ensure quality and functionality. Utilize laboratory equipment and tools to analyze and report on the properties and performance of coatings and materials. Maintain accurate, detailed records of test procedures, data, and results. Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, properly functioning, and safe to use. Assist in the procurement and organization of laboratory materials and supplies. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and functional work environment. Required Education and Skills Associate's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. Understanding of organic chemistry and materials. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, such as laminators, UC curing, microscopes, and mechanical testing. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Familiarity with safety protocols in a laboratory environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired Skills Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a laboratory environment. Experience with coatings, formulations and/or adhesives.

The range for this position is  $65,228.00 - $89,689.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
