About Our Opportunity The Food and Agribusiness Resolutions Officer is primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of large, complex, and distressed accounts to meet Association, customer, and lending partner needs through loan restructuring or modifications, resolution/exit, enforcement actions, and ongoing maintenance of complex accounts experiencing moderate to severe financial distress. Loan portfolio may include regional or national corporate businesses, capital market accounts, or participated/syndicated credit facilities. How You Will Spend Your Time + Develop in-depth understanding of customers to provide innovative customer-centric products, restructures, and services to meet the needs of these customers while protecting the assets of and maximizing the returns to the Association. + Conduct advanced credit analysis on, and monitor performance of complex syndicated, participated, and private placement deals. + Provide insight on large, complex, distressed accounts to deliver advanced structuring options, and sound credit decisions, in alignment with the Association’s desired goals and risk profile. + Develop and grow relationships with participant and syndicate lenders and large commercial agribusinesses by understanding their goals, credit strengths and weaknesses, and delivering constructive financial information. + Maintain relationships with customers throughout the during the correction process, including bankruptcy, restructuring, and asset recovery while coordinating with internal resources to reduce liability. + Actively participate in joint meetings with customers and lender groups to proactively address accounts that may become distressed. + Maintain a high level of presence and contact with the Sales, Credit, Special Accounts, and Legal teams. + Develop portfolio management strategy for assigned customers, to include meeting regulatory requirements, loan servicing, and maintaining the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of customer service, and credit administration of high-risk accounts. + Maintain knowledge of current market trends, legal/regulatory issues, and industry developments. + Share subject matter expertise and mentor others within the Food and Agribusiness and Credit functions. + Mentors and trains while serving as a subject matter expert for team members, partners, and other departments across the association. Proactively identifies solutions and is a role model through positive influence. Champions and supports organizational change. Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Production or a closely related field preferred. 10 years progressively responsible agricultural credit experience, involving the marketing and extension of credit to Agribusinesses and/or large complex farm accounts. Experience with complex business structures, contract negotiation, and relationship management. Experience with participated or syndicated loans and with complex litigation management and working alongside attorneys (both inside and outside counsel) is preferred. Experience managing collection/recovery for large, complex accounts; including, collateral analysis, and developing restructuring alternatives is preferred. Mental & Physical Requirements While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
