Senior Risk Analytics Consultant (Technology Liaison) – Remote

This position is responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing large data sets using complex statistical techniques and tools, to ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies that assist management with making informed business decisions. This position is responsible for supporting development, implementation, and maintenance of strategic risk platform for Enterprise Risk Management. Serves as a subject matter expert and may mentor other staff members or serve in a team lead role. As part of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), you will work as a liaison and coordinate with the Enterprise Risk Data Platform (ERDP) technical team on data sourcing and development prioritization alignment in support of risk reporting products that are critical in the establishment of a mature Large Financial Institution (LFI) risk program. You will collaborate closely as a trusted consultant with ERM teams and collectively help manage the strategic risk platform. Responsibilities Data Enhancement - Leads the implementation of enhancements for the quality, management, and storage of enterprise risk data. Executes initiatives that improve profiling, exception reporting, and issue resolution as well as general fixes for the Enterprise Risk Data Platform. Builds data quality monitoring dashboards and assists management with special data projects. Business Support - Enforces data and access management policies and procedures across the Enterprise Risk Management Analytics and Automation team. Encourages discussion and feedback from associates to identify areas of improvement within data management capabilities. Identifies, prioritizes, develops, documents, and implements strategic-use cases to support data analysis outcomes, processes, and other requirements. Responsible for all components of project execution and stakeholder engagement. Innovation - Works across departments and with functional management as needed to ensure timely delivery of data requirements and establishing remediation plans. Analyze market and technology trends to identify emerging technologies for enhancing domain products’ deliverables and operations. Business Strategy - Facilitates strategies that develop the Bank's data management capabilities. Assists management in creating and implementing a strategic road to achieve planned objectives. Works cross-functionally to mature department presence within Bank business units. Maintains a strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies or trends impacting the financial service industry. Documentation - Creates and maintains documentation which includes source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, critical data elements, change management, and other related materials to ensure audit readiness from documentation standpoint. Identifies and creates centralized business critical reports. Operational Support - Provides support to the department and senior staff regarding technical inquiries serving as a subject matter expert. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Risk Management, Financial Analysis, or Statistical Modeling OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Risk Management, Financial Analysis, or Statistical Modeling Required Skills Understanding of data warehousing and transformation methods. Lineage documentation. ETL processes. Spreadsheet and database knowledge. Able to analyze and visualize large sets of data. Able to create and apply accurate algorithms to datasets to identify solutions. Knowledge of programming languages including but not limited to SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, Python. Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages/applications used to analyze data sets. Proficiency in SQL. Preferred Skills Expertise in Python and/or automation. Proficiency with Tableau and/or PowerBI. 5+ years of experience in Risk Management. 5+ years of experience in Financial Services. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
