About the role

This Line 1 role is to support the Technology Risk Line 1 Team and its key stakeholders across IT & Cyber by partnering with the business to ensure current and emerging risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and monitored. Integral to this is the effective management of risk & compliance Risks, Issues, Incidents and Actions as well as, where necessary, execute root cause analysis, risk assessment, monitor and report activities.  Providing analysis of thematic risk and compliance issues arising from control self-assessment and audit results, compliance incidents/breaches, IIT/Cyber incidents, and operational losses, escalating incidents/breaches to relevant stakeholders. Providing support and guidance to the business in developing, executing, and monitoring remedial actions for IT/Cyber incidents, while also performing root cause analysis to identify preventive measures and ensure timely resolution of such incidents. Facilitating workshops and training to undertake risk and control assessments, maintaining relevant documents. Acting as an advisor on relevant technology risk matters and in the development of processes to manage risk and compliance, in line with the risk management framework – such as incident & issue management processes.

 

About you

Possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with a strong foundation in risk management and compliance within the general insurance or financial services sector. Demonstrated experience in a senior analyst role, with expertise in risk management, compliance, internal audit, quality management, and process design. Strong technical and cyber understanding, particularly in assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls. Proven ability to manage issues, incidents, and actions, including updating records and reporting data from risk management applications. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the capability to interpret data, identify patterns, and develop informed judgments and solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
