Position Specific Description
Join Florida Power & Light as a Senior Risk Management Analyst. Main responsibilities are assessing property risk, reviewing policies, performing contract reviews, and supporting insurance programs. Conduct 40-60 contract reviews, monthly or as needed Perform risk assessments of new ventures through collaboration with NextEra Business Units Draft concise presentations to management summarizing renewals which include but is not limited to, change in coverage, and impact to NextEra Energy Support Surety Bond program Work on long-term corporate insurance strategy ARM and/or CPCU is preferred
This is an onsite opportunity based out of Palm Beach, FL.
This position performs insurance underwriting analysis of claim data, loss forecasts, and loss layer analysis. Employees in this position ensure accurate investigation, processing, and recovery of settlements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Assesses the risk of loss to company property and manages property claims, acting as liaison between business units, insurance adjustors and other outside agencies Reviews policies for propriety, including property, excess liability, worker's compensation, and nuclear property and liability Assists in the placement of insurance coverage Provides management with oversight of the Company’s captive insurance company, including responsibility for budgeting, financial reporting, administrative oversight, coordination of audits, and actuarial reviews Interfaces with management and regulators to develop and implement all required processes and SOX compliance Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad / GED Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience Experience: 4+ years Preferred Qualifications None
