Downer is looking for a Senior Safety Advisor for a six-month contract to provide expert support during the initial stages of the West Gate Tunnel opening, as part of the CityLink maintenance contract. Occasional night shift required.

The successful applicant will develop and implement safety management plans and procedures, conduct site safety assessments and risk analysis to identify potential hazards, create and maintain safety documentation including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), collaborate with operational teams to ensure safety requirements are understood and adhered to and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. 

About You

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. Proven experience in a Safety role in the road, civil construction or industrial industries. Knowledge of Australian safety regulations and industry best practice. Ability to develop, implement and review safety documentation. Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety strategies Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. High attention to detail. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to deliver results on time.
