Job Description

ServiceNow is seeking a Health & Safety Program Manager to design, implement, and lead a comprehensive corporate safety program from the ground up. This role will serve as the company's safety champion, driving and prioritizing a culture of safety-first mindset, well-being, and positive employee experiences while ensuring adherence to global Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations. The ideal candidate will develop strategic initiatives, build cross-functional relationships, and proactively identify and mitigate safety risks across all company locations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Build the Safety Program – Develop and implement a global Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) strategy aligned with regulatory standards, including ISO 45001.Establish a Culture of Health, Safety & Well-being – Promote a proactive safety mindset by embedding health and safety into the company’s DNA. Drive initiatives that not only mitigate risks but also enhance the overall employee experience—ensuring that safety programs are empowering, easy to engage with, and seamlessly integrated into daily work life.Ensure Compliance & Risk Management – Monitor, interpret, and implement OHS policies to meet or exceed regulatory requirements worldwide.Collaborate Across Functions – Work with Global People (HR), Audit, IT, Workplace Services, and external vendors to define roles and responsibilities related to safety.Develop & Execute Safety Initiatives – Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions to enhance workplace safety.Manage Key Safety Programs – Oversee and implement safety programs, including ergonomics, emergency response, Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), travel safety, and risk assessment to ensure a comprehensive and effective safety framework.Incident & Risk Management – Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and implement safety action plans.Training & Education – Design and oversee safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure awareness and compliance.Audit & Performance Tracking – Conduct safety audits, track compliance metrics, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve OHS practices.Emergency Preparedness – Oversee industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and emergency management programs to ensure a safe work environment.Support the Development of our Safety ServiceNow Products – Partner with internal and product teams to help shape and enhance ServiceNow’s safety management product by applying real-world safety expertise and a customer-first mindset. Provide insights on best practices, compliance requirements, and user experience to ensure our product meets the needs of safety professionals across a variety of sectors globally.Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Measure OHS performance, assess industry trends, and develop strategic initiatives to enhance corporate safety.

Qualifications

 

Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.10+ years of progressive experience in OHS within a complex, fast-paced corporate environment with the majority in a high-tech office environment.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.Expertise in risk analysis, hazard identification, and safety program development.Proven experience in leading safety initiatives and risk management projects.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry best practices, and safety compliance in a high-tech corporate environment.Experience implementing corporate safety culture programs and training modules.Previous experience leading global health & safety programs and working with Learning & Development technology.Experience working cross-functionally to improve safety tools, programs, and employee experience.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $152,700 - $267,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
