You will drive the identification, assessment, analysis, and solving of a broad spectrum of safety and ergonomic issues across a diverse group of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts businesses. The **Senior** **Safety Professional** will report to a **Manager of Safety** **What You Will Do** On any given day, as a **Senior** **Safety Professional** , you might: + You will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously + Drive the implementation of safety and ergonomic programs, performing job task analysis, facility, and design/modifications, analyzing injury and illness trend data, evaluating safety performance, and finding opportunities to improve safety and ergonomics performance. + Lead the development and implementation of ergonomic strategies and tactics + Participate in ergonomic-related incident investigations and follow-ups + Improve performance, review source material (rules, codes, laws, and standards) identify and share industry practices + Ensure implementation of applicable safety standards and established regulations + Manage relationships and work as part of a team within a matrix environment with all levels of leadership and employees + Analyze ergonomic injury and illness data, prepare presentations on trends and mitigation plans, and then share them with your peers/leaders + Serve as the Safety & Health Duty Manager on a rotational basis **Required Qualifications & Skills** Here’s what you need to be successful at this job: + 5+ years of industrial safety and ergonomics experience in a related industry such as maintenance, manufacturing, hospitality, entertainment/theatrical, transportation, distribution/warehouse + Knowledge and hands-on application in regulatory standards, best-practices and guidelines, such as ergonomics, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis + Experience with strategic thinking, prioritization, and initiation of tasks + Experience with proper writing, speaking, and presenting to all levels of employee + Resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations + Experience with assessing, analyzing, identifying, and solving ergonomic issues across a diverse group of Disney Parks and Resorts businesses **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous experience in the entertainment/hospitality industry + Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation + Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) + Bi-lingual language skills **Education** + Bachelor's Degree in a related field **Preferred Education** + Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and/or health, industrial hygiene, life science, physical science or engineering + Advanced degree in Ergonomics or Human Factors Engineering \#LI-CTO \#DisneySafety \#DXMedia The hiring range for this position in California is $103,500.00-$138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
