Summary:
The Senior Safety Representative role is responsible for safety and compliance matters for operations across a designated region in a safety first culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct safety compliance field audits and communicate findings to area management Deliver safety training to area operations personnel in accordance with CFR 1910 Observe and mentor company operations personnel in safe work planning and practices Lead and manage tailgate safety meetings and area safety meetings Perform investigations of incidents and drafting corrective actions Participate in company safety and environmental policy and procedure development Attend customer safety functions and acting as the company safety representative for a multi-area basis Assess company compliance with customer safety requirements and creating remedial plans to address deficiencies Maintain records for safety training sessions and presenting to the safety supervisor for consolidation and reporting Maintain incident and corrective action logs associated with incidents and discussing with the safety team Assist operational staff with the implementation of recommended safety measuresEducation and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 8 years of related experience Ability to assume & perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently. Demonstrate sound judgment. Have knowledge of safety rules and practices and a very good safety record. Have basic computer skills. Have a history of being dependable & reliable. Good organizational skills, good customer relations skills, and a record of very positive work performance. Excellent time management, communication and organization skills Possess reliable means of contact for call-out purposes Position will require working days, nights, holidays in all weather conditions and overtime Valid Driver's license with acceptable driving record and a reliable means of transportation Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environmentPreferred Qualifications:
Prefer mechanical or instrumentation background Ability to perform incident investigations using appropriate techniques and to identify and correct root causes Demonstrated ability to calculate and analyze safety metrics including TRIR, LTIR and SIR Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and how they relate to Company operationsWorking Conditions:
May require walking and standing up to 12 hours a day Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, stretchy Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally Driving, walking, and standing frequently Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment Occasional overnight travel may be requiredSummary:
