Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Safety Representative for Outside Vendors and External Maintenance Providers (OSV/EMP), you will ensure that assigned vendors meet or exceed United’s standards for safety and regulatory compliance. This role requires onsite visits to vendors to identify risks, conduct gap analyses, and implement mitigation strategies to protect United’s fleet. Your expertise in aircraft systems, risk diagnosis, and data analysis will help prioritize high-impact items using the SMS Safety Risk Matrix.
· Conduct periodic onsite visits to assigned OSV/EMP locations, focusing on safety and regulatory compliance. Serve as United Airlines’ primary safety liaison for employees at these locations.
· Report damage events and near misses promptly. Perform SOLOGIC Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to address these incidents effectively.
· Develop and implement cost-effective, sustainable corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
· Analyze safety program data from vendors to support SMS and perform Safety Operational Risk Analyses.

Whats needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
· 5 years of relevant aviation maintenance experience.
· FAA Airframe and Powerplant (AP) Certificate (mandatory).
· Willingness to travel 50-80%, both domestically and internationally.
· Experience analyzing Technical Operations data.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related tools.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Proactive and self-motivated with knowledge of SMS principles, FAA regulations, and safety programs.
· Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and the ability to learn United’s systems.
· Ability to work various shifts and be on-call as needed.
· Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
· Reliable and punctual attendance.

· Bachelor’s degree and an FAA AP License.
· 3-5 years of management experience in aviation safety programs.
