To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a Senior Sales Commission Analyst. This role requires a highly quantitative and detail-oriented analyst with a passion for working with Sales. As a member of Five9’s Finance group, the primary responsibilities include managing compensation plans, performing monthly and quarterly commission calculations, generating reports and analytics, and addressing commission-related inquiries. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of sales, channels, and business operations within the Enterprise Software industry and can effectively communicate with company leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly/quarterly calculation and accurate payment for all sales commissions and other sales incentive plans. Administer draw, MBO, commission bonus, SPIFF payouts and other. Handle questions from the field on compensation calculations and completeness. Manage reporting environment of historical compensation payouts. Collaborate with HR and sales management to ensure that new compensation ideas can be easily managed with existing compensation systems. Support management reviews with accurate, up-to-date performance metrics from the compensation management activities. Work with internal/external auditors on an on-going basis for SOX commission process and testing. Help develop and improve documentation, and support strong internal controls. Ability to work independently on complex projects. Effectively discuss results, questions, ideas for improvement in a large group setting.Key Qualifications:
5+ years of sales compensation and commissions experience. Capture and use data to inform decision-making and persuade others. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Work effectively in an unstructured environment requiring new perspectives and creative approaches. You are passionate about doing what’s right for the business. High energy and contagious enthusiasm. Willing to tackle the tough projects and challenges to grow the business. Governs themselves with unquestionable ethics. You possess skills and expertise in business insight, analytics, troubleshooting, and project management. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and communicate the meaning of the data being presented. You have strong advanced Excel skills and can take the data and tell a story Familiarity with compensation solutions (Callidus Cloud, Xactly, Anaplan preferred etc.) is a plus. Ability to analyze business analytics and read situations well. Capable of developing compelling strategies around analysis that deliver results. Detail-oriented, organized, ability to multi-task. Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Experience collaborating across departments, especially Finance. Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics), or Business degree with strong analytics experience.
Work Location: This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office is required.
