DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage customer interactions & foster relationships to secure core and strategic customer opportunitieswith leadership to address customers; business challenges and supply chain goals utilizing forecasting, business planning, and pipeline developmentmarket factors that may impact a customer’s supply chain, while delivering persuasive cases for change and developing tailored solutions to support their business strategysales activities, utilizing a CRM for prospect identification, calls, and tracking, to consistently meet or exceed daily, monthly, or annual expectationsPlan and conduct face-to-face visits with current and new prospective customers within the assigned territory 3-to-4 days per week, while building and delivering tailored proposals for each customer presentation based on their needsInfluence customers to leverage automation and enhance process efficiency from day one of implementation, utilizing customer-facing technology to ensure a seamless match between technology and customer needsCollaborate with internal partners to develop customer pricing strategies, coordinate quotes, and negotiate suitable payment termsPartner with Account Management teams to create and execute an implementation plan to effectively transition relationship management duties, assisting in the development of any SOPs required to manage the customers’ business effectivelyMaintain a robust commercial presence in the local marketplace, actively participating or presenting at regional events, and attending training sessions to enhance relevant knowledge and skillsQUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or GEDMinimum 4 years of operations experience from a freight forwarder or outside sales experienceWillingness to travel within assigned territory, minimum 3-4 days per weekFluent in EnglishPreferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityAdvanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminologyExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyStrong attention to detailStrong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence othersSelf-driven, results-orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profitabilityKeen sense for business development with a clear “hunter” mentalityDevelop and maintain strong inter-company relationshipsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentDisclaimer:
