About the Role:

\n

As a Government Sales Executive – State & Local at Conduent, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our business forward in the U.S. State & Local government market. You'll have the opportunity to engage with key agency stakeholder, understand their needs, and develop tailored solutions to address their challenges. With a focus on building strong relationships and staying informed about market trends, you'll lead the charge in securing new contracts and positioning Conduent as a trusted partner in the sector.

Responsibilities:

\n\n Engaging with key stakeholders within state and local agencies to foster long-term partnerships and understand their evolving needs.\n Generating leads and proactively prospecting for new business opportunities within state and local agencies, leveraging industry contacts and networking events.\n Managing the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closure, ensuring consistent progress and achievement of sales targets.\n Leading the preparation and submission of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling proposals that address client needs.\n Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with existing state and local clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.\n Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and government policies affecting state and local procurement, providing insights to inform sales strategies and positioning.\n Collaborating closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with organizational objectives and customer requirements.\n Leading negotiations with state and local agencies to secure new contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.\n\n

Requirements:

\n\n Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or government-focused business development, with a proven track record of success in selling to state and local government agencies.\n Possess a deep understanding of state and local procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements, with prior experience responding to RFPs and navigating government contracting.\n Exhibit familiarity with relevant industries and solutions, such as government call center/BPO, healthcare systems and operations, payment and digital payment solutions.  \n Showcase strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with key stakeholders and decision-makers within state and local agencies.\n Demonstrate a strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth.\n Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and proposals effectively to diverse audiences.\n Collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team culture.\n Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.\n Obtaining relevant certifications in sales, government contracting, or related areas (e.g., State and local Sales Training, Certified Government Sales Professional) is a plus.\n\n

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and flexible paid time off and sick time. The estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 – $190,000.\n
