**About the Role**
The Mobility Operations team is at the forefront of driving Uber's vision in Japan. We lead strategic initiatives to grow both rider and driver bases. We're looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic Sales team. In this role, you'll be responsible for signing and expanding partnerships with taxi fleets in West Japan to increase the number of vehicles and drivers on our platform. Your contributions will directly impact the Uber experience by boosting the supply of vehicles and drivers available to riders.
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will own sales activities focused on acquiring taxi fleets and closing partnership contracts across multiple cities in West Japan. This includes negotiating with taxi companies to secure partner fleets, onboard vehicles, and drive driver engagement - key elements in providing a seamless rider experience. The candidate will quickly learn about Uber's products and value propositions to fleets and drivers, helping to drive supply growth in the targeted regions. Internally, the role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer support, legal, business development, finance, tax, policy, and communications to support daily operations, project execution, and strategy development.
The successful candidate will be a results-driven sales professional who thrives in a target-driven environment. You will also be a strategic thinker, an adept project manager, and a strong team player who excels at coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver success for our fleet partners, riders, and Uber as a whole.
**Your Impact in Role**
- Represent Uber and establish relationships with senior leadership within taxi fleet companies.
- Drive fleet and driver acquisition by tailoring value propositions to fleet and driver needs.
- Develop and execute Uber's supply growth strategy in Japan.
- Continuously achieve high sales targets.
**What You Will need**
- Preferably 10+ years of B2B Sales experience
- A proven track record of devising breakthrough sales strategies and consistently surpassing sales targets.
- Proficiency in partner acquisition, contract closures, relationship building, account management, and operational excellence including data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in both Japanese and English.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, supported by fluency in Japanese and Business-level English.
- A remarkable history of scaling businesses tenfold within the tech industry is preferred
- Strong project management experience is preferred
- Managerial experience is preferred
- Proficiency beyond Business-level English is preferred
