Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for initiating all revenue from Corporate, Government, Embassy, and other market segments to the hotel.Responsible for cultivating productive relationships with Key Accounts and Key Prospects in these markets.Maintain an effective tracing system, monitor production all of accounts and discuss appropriate action with Director of Sales Marketing.Responsible in continually developing business markets and capturing new ones.Submit to Director of Sales Marketing on a weekly basis, a weekly call plan including sales call objective, sales expenses, etcTotally sell all aspect of hotels operation i.e. rooms, function, groups and banquetingMaintain a regular sales call pattern i.e. minimum 10 face to face calls per week.Attend to relevant correspondence, filing and general administrative function as they ariseTravel to national and international sales events, as and when it is requiredConduct hotel inspection and regularly entertain present and potential accounts/sources of business.Attend any relevant function and promotions and any in-house function as requiredAttend and contribute to Sales Marketing meetings.Assist as required with telemarketing projects / “Blitz’s”Ensure Hotel System, sales database and account information is always current and up to date.

Financial Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of the annual business plan for the department.Monitor the department’s budget and proactively implement corrective action where necessary.Control cost whilst ensuring quality and standards are not compromised.

Communication

Communicate effectively within the organization at all levels using the most appropriate communication method for the matter concerned.

Qualifications

Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.Must have 3-5 years of hotel sales experienceGood problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.Must have selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills trainingMust be proficient in general computer knowledge
