Essential Responsibilities:

Develop New customers and opportunities within the transportation market segment in North America for the Grid Automation Business, a portfolio which encompasses telecom & automation solutions for transportation customers. Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations, including influencers at C-level down to buyers or usersOwnership over market price & customer expectations in the tender process to customer, overseeing the delivery of ‘right sized’ Solutions-based proposals by the Proposal teamDevelop Sales Account Plans (stakeholder mapping, customer problems to solve, portfolio & value prop fit, pipeline goals, etc) and Go-to-Market strategies for the transportation marketSuccessfully grow both orders and opportunity pipeline YoY in the assigned market; Be accountable for meeting or exceeding individual orders and margin targetsShape and Deliver Value-Added propositions to customers and key accounts that address the customer problemLead customer engagements, ensuring the right agenda and stakeholders are at the table to further account penetration and progress opportunities through the sales cycle – including correct external and internal stakeholders (e.g. bringing product line or technical expertise if needed)Support Product Line Leaders with definition and execution of the Product Line strategy by providing customer’s feedback on Product enhancement, New Product Introductions, and value propositionProvide commercial input on market dynamics, such as competitive intelligence and industry trends to the Marketing and technology teamParticipate and contribute to industry guides, conferences, and standards as relevant for account / business growthIndividual contributor role

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, equivalent technical degree, or matching industry experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and/or Business Development with proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas and new business generation

Experience in the transportation Industry (Rail/Traffic)Telecom or SCADA experienceExisting, strong relationships with transportation customersAbility to understand the Strategic Vision and implement that vision at an operational level with customersA team player with strong can-do, “take accountability” attitudeAbility to influence and persuade decision makersExcellent communication and presentation skills

The salary range for this position is 108,600.00 - 144,800.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a sales incentive performance bonus of 30%.
