Senior Sales Specialist
**It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!** **Job Description Summary:** This position is a direct contributor "overlay" position with client facing expectations. You’ll be working with Regional Sales Directors, Senior Account Executives and Pre-Sales Engineers across Europe, with particular focus on the Rocket Infrastructure Modernization products (Enterprise Orchestration, Workload Scheduling, Monitoring and JCL Tools) and associated implementation services to the Fortune 1000 customers. Rocket offers a highly regarded portfolio of software which address a variety of complex IT needs. We partner with leading Outsourcers, Business Partners and Service Providers to architect, promote and provide best of breed market solutions. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** : + Partner with the Infrastructure Business Unit to understand and validate current market trends and ongoing client needs for the portfolio of products in the Americas EMEA Market + Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors and respective Senior Account Executives to execute sales plays Performance Monitoring, Enterprise Orchestration, Workload Scheduling/Automation and JCL tools, to qualify and progress opportunities through sales funnel stages + Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to craft and present tailored solutions that align with customer objectives + Work collectively with Product Marketing and Product Management to develop enablement and Go to Market plans for active investment products + Develop and execute sales strategies to promote mainframe solutions and services to enterprise clients. Directly interact with customers and prospects promoting this set of enterprise solutions + Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and challenges. + Work with Sales teams to migrate customers from competitors to Rocket offerings + Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance as well as competitive offerings + Team with Marketing and Sales to represent Rocket at Industry trade shows and events + Ability to uncover, seed, propose and sell professional services engagements + Ability to identify customer pain points and offer innovative solutions. + Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously + Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company. + Willing to travel throughout the Europe when required **Required Qualifications:** + Familiarity with mainframe modernization strategies and hybrid cloud solutions. + Knowledge of competitive landscape in the mainframe sector. + Experience in Enterprise Orchestration, Dev Ops, RPA or closely related areas is a plus + Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. + Goal-oriented and ability to work as a team are very important **Preferred Qualifications:** + Minimum 5 years sales experience in IT sales, with a focus on mainframe technologies Storage, Monitoring and Workload Automation or related areas is required + Channel partner experience is a plus **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field  **Travel Requirements:** 50% of your time in the field working at tradeshows and meeting with customers/clients  **Information Security:** Information security is everyone’s responsibility.
