Job Description

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance and preparing returns for filing state and local sales/use tax. This role involves coordinating sales/use tax payments, assisting with exemption certificates, and managing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations associated with sales/use tax. Additionally, the specialist will handle fuel tax compliance and various other tax preparations, returns, and reports.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance and prepare returns for filing state and local sales/use tax.Coordinate sales/use tax payments.Assist with exemption certificates.Manage monthly journal entries and account reconciliations associated with sales/use tax.Handle fuel tax compliance.Prepare various other tax returns and reports as needed.Essential Skills4+ years of tax accounting experience.2+ years of multi-state sales and use tax experience.Strong skills in sales and use tax preparation.Proficiency in preparing tax returns.Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience in tax researchStrong Excel skills.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00

Role includes 15% bonus + 401k + Employee Share Purchase Plan + 4 weeks’ vacation (if 6 years work experience)+ benefits
