The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Job Summary: Liberty Mutual’s Direct Response Center has an exciting opportunity in the form of a Sales Team Manager role, leading a large team of Sales Supervisors and/or Hiring Managers  and helping drive Sales Excellence within our Personal Lines Insurance  sales organization.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the performance and development of a large sales team in Liberty Mutual's Direct Response Center. Manages complex sales teams through effective leadership of sales supervisors towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth to support the company business objectives. Hires as well as contributes to the development of training and coaching programs for the sales supervisors across the network. Oversees Site and network initiatives and projects.

 

Responsibilities

Drives performance through Supervisors of complex sales teams to ensure sales targets and other key performance metrics are consistently achieved. Develops the abilities of Supervisors of complex sales teams to analyze performance, as well as coach and motivate toward continuous improvement. Utilizes individualized development plans, employee reviews, and progressive discipline, as appropriate. Reviews underwriting exception requests from Sales Supervisors utilizing rules and guidelines in order to bind coverage. Tracks and analyzes complex Sales Team results, metric trends, and behavior impacts. Partners with the other Senior Sales Managers across the network to adjust team plans/targets as appropriate. Establishes and maintains strong relationships across the Direct Response Center (DRC) network and partner organizations (Distribution Operations, Distribution Insights). Assists Site leader with analyzing operating and performance metrics. Leads data analysis to ensure Site meets performance targets and collaborates with Site leader to develop recommended action plans as needed. Drives performance for medium and large scale pilot programs. Works closely with the Special Projects team and Sales Managers across all sites to ensure proper protocol adherence related to pilots and monitors execution as appropriate. Gathers feedback from pilot teams to share with pilot sponsors including appropriate recommendations and action plans. Leads core initiatives as identified by Site management in site and influences across site for alignment. Provides direction to Sales Team Managers to effectively implement initiatives from senior management. Develops and communicates appropriate action plans, monitors and drives progress for the specific initiative and provides regular progress updates to Site leader. (Problem Solving council, Network Recruiting, Employee Engagement, etc) Partners with Site leader to develop and refine Leader Standard Work. Responsible for satisfying ongoing continuing education (C.E.) requirements in order to maintain necessary P&C licensing. Other special projects as assigned by Senior Leadership. Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent training required, in addition to 6+ years of insurance sales/service experience, to include a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experienceMust have strong knowledge of a variety of Personal Lines insurance products, plans, and programs, including extensive customer contactDemonstrated written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills are essentialMulti-state property and casualty licensing also required About Us
