Do some people consider you an expert in Salesforce.com (SFDC) application and design? Do you stay on the cutting edge of new SFDC offerings? As a SFDC Senior Developer in our Agile environment several key parts of our business will rely heavily on your expertise and APEX coding skills in all things SFDC. You will be responsible for execution of SFDC backlog at Paycor. As the technical designer and developer, you must work across various business units to gain a clear understanding of functional requirements and use your SFDC expertise to develop and implement impactful solutions. You must have in-depth knowledge of SFDC development best practices and SFDC offerings to ensure scalable solutions are designed and implemented. In addition, you must be an outstanding team player with excellent communication skills, able to work the groups of users in need of the solutions you help create and implement. Your role and SFDC expertise is critical and we need you to bring energy to the team. Innovation is key for us and you’ll be expected to influence your team with the latest SFDC tools, offerings and ideas. Also, because we are Agile, there will be times that you will be expected to step beyond “traditional” developer duties to reach your team’s definition of done.
Duties and Core Responsibilities
• Execution of SFDC backlog at Paycor • Providing extensive input into design decisions and designing solutions • Work with Architecture in analyzing and recommending tooling decisions • Work and collaborate within the Agile software development life cycle • Define Agile SDLC user stories and work with the business to define story development • Work with Custom Objects, Custom Fields, Roles, Profiles, Email Services, Page Layouts, Workflow Alerts and Actions, and Approval Workflow, Reports and Dashboards • Design Custom Formula Fields, Field Dependencies, and Validation Rules, Workflows, and Approval Processes, Page layouts, search layout • Technologies used to execute design and customization tasks include but are not limited to:Apex coding, Visual Force coding, Java Script coding, Lightning code, components, data movement • Interfaces created and supported would include: Business utilized UI development, Interface applications between our Salesforce instance and a variety of external data and logic providers (Credit APIs, Fraud APIs, Data Validation APIs, Service APIs), and Customization of a rules engine with both visual and automated components to drive business value with or without user interaction based on business rules • Customization of the Salesforce platform through custom objects, process automation, and business logic execution on the platform and while some worked items are configurable administrative uses of the platform capabilities, the majority of the work for a developer (80% or greater) falls into customization beyond native platform capabilities through custom code • All custom code requires automated test classes with 90% code coverage to satisfy deployment requirements and ensure non-breaking changes to our instance for the life of the codebase
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• At least 4 years of SFDC development experience • Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience OR a Master’s and 2+ years of experience in a related field. • 4 or more years (or 2 years and a Master’s degree) of experience with any common SFDC IDE • 4 or more years (or 2 years and a Master’s degree) of experience in APEX classes, APEX triggers, Visual Force pages, SOQL, SOSL and Force.com API • 2 or more years of experience with Lightning • 3 or more years of experience in Communities, Service/Sales Cloud, Einstein, Test classes, Wave Analytics • 4 or more years of experience (or 2 years and a Master’s degree) in system design and interoperability with external systems • 4 or more years of experience (or 2 years and a Master’s degree) with integrating Salesforce cloud solution with enterprise applications, identify, and access management and 3rd party products • 4 or more years of experience (or 2 years and a Master’s degree) with Version control systems and deployments • 4 or more years of experience (or 2 years and a Master’s degree) of Salesforce security model • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Experience working as part of an Agile SDLC team, familiarity with Agile software development principles and concepts, working in a collaborative, iterative process • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of associates across various business units • Creative solutions oriented mindset and innovator • High energy self-starter; must be flexible and able to take the initiative with minimal guidance Paycor Total Rewards Take Care of Each Other is one of our Guiding Principles and it’s something we actively pursue through the benefits we offer.
