Job Description:
Responsible for researching, designing, developing, operating, and maintaining support services for business applications and information systems. This includes integrating technical and business requirements, prioritizing support services based on business criticality, and working with both 3rd party software and internally developed applications. Key tasks involve business requirement analysis, software configuration, infrastructure implementation, documentation creation, application testing, and system maintenance. The role is part of the IT function, ensuring solutions meet company standards and using approved technologies, serving end users and various company departments such as Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, and Finance.
Management Level Definition:
Applies advanced expertise to solve complex business issues and is seen as a subject matter expert. Contributes to new ideas and methods, analyzes multifaceted problems, and leads functional project teams or cross-functional initiatives. Provides direction on process improvements, establishes policies, and represents the organization to external clients. Exercises significant independent judgment and may mentor lower-level employees.
Responsibilities:
· Lead or participate in IT technical teams, acting as a liaison to end users and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
· Independently implement and manage complex end-user or enterprise infrastructure, applications, or services.
· Install, configure, and maintain SAP Business Objects software and components.
· Administer Business Objects servers, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and upgrades.
· Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for server, software, and hardware issues.
· Design and implement security policies to ensure data protection and compliance.
· Develop and maintain system configuration documentation.
· Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, design solutions, and create reports and dashboards.
· Optimize Business Objects environments for performance and scalability.
· Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff.
Education and Experience Required:
A technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Strong verbal, written, and technical leadership skills.
· In-depth knowledge of SAP Business Objects architecture and tools.
· Experience with SAP Business Objects installation, configuration, and administration.
· Familiarity with Linux, Windows, Oracle, Tomcat, Apache, SQL, database management, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
· Extensive experience with infrastructure environments (e.g., OS, hardware, security, network, web server applications).
· High initiative, integrity, problem-solving, priority-setting, and collaboration skills.
· Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
· Creative consulting, leadership qualities, credibility, self-confidence, and influencing skills.
· Proficiency in scripting/programming languages and ITIL knowledge.
· SAP Business Objects certification is a plus.
