Objectives of the Position
The product team Business Accounting & Reporting is a globally acting team, which combines technical and professional expertise around SAP Controlling applications and to a minor volume in non-SAP solutions. As part of the product team, you help our customers to detail their requirements and translates those into best-in-class Solution Designs based on deep business and process knowledge. The Business Solution Consultant (BSC) is bridging the gap between business and technical sides of an organization, with balanced knowledge of existing technologies.
Responsibilities and Key Outcomes
Understanding business requirements, processes, and customer needs, adding value to solutions and matching them with existing tools and technologies. Collaborating with stakeholders and deliver analysis reports, solution proposals, and project plans.Focus on improving processes and achieving business objectives through effective solution design.Advising and supporting the internal business partners (IBP) on complex business process and IT application issues within the process Area of Controlling (Business Accounting & Reporting).IT analysis, (process and/or data) modelling, consulting and optimization of complex business processes and business models, corresponding with target-group oriented presentation of concepts.Execute also complex prototyping/configuration and testing of new business solutions based on dedicated BASF business requirements while ensuring high quality.Supporting studies in the preliminary stage of projects including evaluation of Third-Party providersSupporting the formulation of complex cost estimates for solution design efforts and for all other relevant project phases as integral part of the project life cycle planning process.Contribution to complex projects including collaboration with internal business partners and external providers.
Requirements
Education
Information Systems / Computer Science/ Business IT, Business Economics, Business SCM or Information Science or equivalent experience
Working Experience
5-7 years’ experience in system development (customizing), maintenance and / or functional support. At least 4 SAP project life cycle implementation experience is being pursued.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)
At least 5 – 7 years knowledge and understanding in SAP application ‘Controlling’ as Consultant is essential. Thereof at least 2 years of implementation experience SAP S/4HANA Controlling modulesKnowledge in Condition Contract Settlement (CCS) would increase the chances.Basic understanding of more modules out of the Process Area Finance is desirable.At least basic business knowledge in the Process Area Finance in general.Good to very good command of English (written and spoken).Ability to manage competing priorities, and to work under pressure.Ability to work largely independently; a high sense of responsibility and commitment are requiredConflict management and problem-solving skillsAbility to support the develop of action plansEffective human relations and communications skills are important to develop, establish cooperation and rapport with users at different working levels and of several nationalities.Good analytical skillsProactive thinkingAbility to foster sustainabilityGood innovative orientationAgile mindset, openness, and helpfulness.
