In the role of Senior Scheduler, we'll count on you to:Develop and manage project schedules and narratives based on production and estimate information from project personnel including engineers and project managers.Develop and maintain project cost information, including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecast and explanation of variancesUtilize Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other scheduling software to perform in-depth analysis of project schedules (to include cost / resource loaded schedules), review delay claims for time entitlement and assist in resolution of project disputesIndependently review, analyze, and report on baseline schedules, monthly schedule updates, and time impact (entitlement) analyses submitted by contractorsReport on findings and assist client with negotiation of time extensionsEnsure project planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project related activities complyIdentify and report the impact of performed and delayed work by updating the project approved schedule and financial reporting programs.Assist in the preparation and negotiation of Change Orders and additional workDevelop Time Impact Analyses in the support of Change Order requests / reviewsDevelop / implement project dashboards and collaboration sites to support monitoring and status communication to the project/program management teamCollaboratively resolve review comments with other scheduling staff, contractors, and clientPerform quality control review of project controls reports and verify timely executionReview accuracy of progress measurement and earned value reportingUtilize a procedural framework and tools for preparing, reporting, and recording variancesWork under a Principal Scheduler or Project Controls Manager, and with other Schedulers, to meet objectives in a timely mannerAbility to guide / train Project SchedulersFollow appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate informationTake part in meetings with the project teamAssist in maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clientsProactively seek collaboration and cooperationSatisfactorily respond to client needs and prioritiesPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction ManagementA minimum of 10 years scheduling experience on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reportsAbility to interpret construction schedulesCost control backgroundCertifications (one or more): CST, CCT, CMIT, CDT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, EIT, PEBridge, highway, and roadway construction scheduling experienceAlternative Delivery Scheduling experienceTexas Alternative Delivery Scheduling experienceMinimum of 5 years related to Alternative Delivery transportation scheduling using P6Experience with cost management systems, cost analysis, forecasting, and change management on alternative delivery projectsExperience in document control, Federal reporting requirements, on-the-job training tracking, change order, and claim analysis on alternative delivery projectsExperience with risk logsAbility to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks simultaneouslyAbility to generate a high-quality work product within tight timeframesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degreeA minimum of 10 years Construction Scheduling Proficiency in using Primavera, SureTrak, and/or other scheduling software Experience with cost and resource loaded schedules required An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
