HDR has established several long-term and rapidly expanding professional services relationships with government owners, agencies and authorities based in the greater New York metropolitan area. Anticipating and planning resource needs for multiple, simultaneously running projects from several HDR offices has become increasingly critical to our operations.

HDR is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Scheduler to join our team. This position will also support the continued development of HDR’s Project Controls services in its Transportation Business Group as well as other Business Groups both nationally and internationally. In the role of Senior Scheduler, you’ll be counted on to:

Support operations and project leadership with the development and administration of project schedules and related resource planning. Assist in the day-to-day management of various project schedules and coordination with our client’s project managers.Possess the initiative to set up and maintain several critical path method schedules and controls processes for several simultaneous projects.Perform complex schedule delay analyses and successfully negotiate with constructors for fair and equitable time adjustments.Assist in the evaluation and selection of constructors based on proposal schedules in the framework of various project delivery methods.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Develop, maintain and support master program schedule for multiple projects from concept, design, procurement, construction and closeout.Develop and maintain Primavera P6 project schedules for projects both in the active and in the planning phases.Maintain all schedule information (e.g., baselines, schedule updates, notices of delays, narratives and reports, etc.) per project requirements. Analyze complex claims both during the design and construction phases of the project.Perform time impact analyses on an as-needed basis. Analyze changes in schedule sequencing, modified work plans and actual work performed against the as-planned accepted baseline schedules. Effectively negotiate with constructors for the fair and equitable adjustment of time entitlement.Review and report on proposal schedules during the procurement phase of a variety of project delivery methods (e.g., design-bid-build, design-build etc.)Work closely with project teams and management to identify, analyze, and implement corrective solutions to schedule related issues.Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules for the design, procurement and construction of conceptual and preliminary schedules for mega-projects.Organize and maintain databases for large amounts of information for meaningful schedule visualizations (i.e., project dashboards).Provide recommendations in the development of the project work breakdown structure (WBS) that interfaces and align with specific Program WBS Structures.Assist in the development of Project presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status.Utilize historical data, such as performance experience, for use in projecting future planning and forecasting of project dates, required resources, cashflow curves and other key performances indices.Create new schedule and cost graphics and reporting tools (including dashboards) as mega-projects advance and to support annual capital programs.Analyze complex claims both during the design and construction phases of the project. Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction ManagementAbility to interpret construction schedulesTransit, bridge, and roadway construction experience highly desiredAbility to use Microsoft Excel for estimating quantities and costs, and control activities such as progress and performance measurementAble to work under pressure to meet critical milestones/deadlinesInitiative to identify and implement innovative techniques and methods and the ability to work with clients and provide outstanding client serviceExperience and proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 schedule softwareCertifications (one or more): CST, CCT, CMIT, CDT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, EIT, PEThis is an onsite position in New York City and local candidate will be preferredRequired QualificationsBachelor's degreeA minimum of 10 years Construction Scheduling Proficiency in using Primavera, and/or other scheduling software Experience with cost and resource loaded schedules required An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
