We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced scientist with extensive industry expertise in process development, scaling workflows, and driving innovation for stem cell-derived therapies. The successful candidate will focus on creating robust, scalable solutions for clinical and manufacturing applications, leveraging technologies like adherent cell culture, vertical wheel bioreactors, and advanced process design. **Key Responsibilities:** • Design and optimize scalable workflows for expansion, differentiation, and characterization of stem cell-derived models for clinical and manufacturing purposes. • Develop and implement protocols for adherent cell culture and bioreactor-based systems to enable scalable, GMP-compliant production of stem cell-derived therapeutics. • Lead process development initiatives for translating laboratory-scale methods into scalable manufacturing workflows, ensuring reproducibility and efficiency. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reagents and tools for stem cell-based therapy research, including autologous and allogeneic cell therapy applications. • Apply innovative approaches to solve challenges in stem cell differentiation, tissue formation, and GMP-scale manufacturing. • Develop and validate analytical assays (e.g., RT-PCR, flow cytometry, ELISA) to characterize the identity, function, and viability of stem cell-derived products. • Author and review technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and quality control, and regulatory submissions for RUO and GMP products. • Monitor and integrate emerging trends, technologies, and tools in regenerative medicine, including AI-based approaches for data analysis and workflow optimization. • Mentor and provide leadership to scientists and associates, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. **Qualifications and Experience:** • Ph.D. in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 2+ years of industry experience in cell and gene therapy, regenerative medicine, or biomanufacturing. • Proven expertise in process development for stem cell-based therapy research, including scaling workflows from discovery to GMP-compliant manufacturing. • Hands-on experience with adherent cell culture systems and advanced bioreactor platforms (e.g., vertical wheel bioreactors) for large-scale cell expansion and differentiation. • Strong background in developing and optimizing differentiation protocols for iPSCs or other pluripotent stem cells, with an emphasis on clinical and manufacturing applications. • Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards for GMP production and experience developing workflows under design control and risk-based approaches. • Technical proficiency with standard cell characterization assays, 3D culture systems, and advanced imaging or high-throughput screening platforms. • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges. • Track record of scientific innovation, productivity, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. **Why Join Bio-Techne:** **We offer competitive insurance benefits starting on day one: medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, pet, and legal and ID shield.** **We invest in our employees’ financial futures through 401k plans, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), Health Saving Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Dependent Care FSA.** **We empower our employees develop their careers through mentorship, promotional opportunities, training and development, tuition reimbursement, internship programs, and more.** **We offer employee resource groups, volunteer paid time off, employee events, and charity drives to build a culture of caring and belonging.** **We offer an accrued leave policy with paid holidays, paid time off, and paid parental leave.** **We foster a culture of empowerment and innovation, where employees feel valued and encouraged to bring their new ideas to the table.** **Bio-Techne is an E-Verify Employer in the United States.** **All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.** **To protect the interests of all, Bio-Techne will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than a candidate application.
