We are looking for:
The Senior Scientist with a strong background in physical chemistry and surfactants to join our Research and Innovation team for the Novecare - Industrial Process Solutions business in North America. The ideal candidate will lead the application, development and exploration of surfactant technologies, contributing to our commitment to advancing science and delivering sustainable solutions.

Lead research projects focused on the development and application of surfactants, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.

Lead technical interactions with customers to understand their technical needs and develop solutions

Design and conduct experiments to understand the physical and chemical properties of surfactants and their interactions in various formulations to develop solutions for our customers

Utilize expertise in physical chemistry to solve challenging problems related to surfactant behavior, performance, and stability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including formulation scientists, product development, and marketing, to translate research findings into innovative products and solutions.

Stay abreast of scientific literature and advancements in the field of physical chemistry and surfactants, incorporating new knowledge into research projects.

Mentor interns and junior scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.

Present research findings to internal stakeholders and at relevant scientific conferences.

Contribute to the writing of patents, technical reports, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.

You will bring:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s or PhD in Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on surfactants preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial R&D setting, specifically working with surfactants.

Proven track record of leading research projects and delivering innovative solutions.

Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of surfactant chemistry (synthesis, characterization, and application)

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex projects with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to non-expert audiences as well as customers

Demonstrated ability to publish scientific findings and contribute to patent applications.

Good knowledge of Excel & Google Sheet to handle large data sets. Proficient with PowerPoint to make internal and external presentations

 

 

You will get:

Competitive salary and benefits package.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $91,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
