Summary: Goldbelt Apex LLC seeks a highly experienced Senior Scientist to spearhead cutting-edge research and innovation within hearing conservation. This opportunity will allow you to pioneer the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing loss and auditory injury. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Serve as Principal/Associate Investigator on hearing conservation studies and as a subject matter expert and project manager on assigned studies. Assist other staff members in generating proposals for internally and externally funded research projects and engage in the early phases of projects. Maintaining technical awareness of current work across the different DoD hearing and balancing technical areas Provide development support for hearing and balance strategic roadmaps. Responsible for the design and execution of critical projects to achieve program goals. Able to oversee and participate in coordinating an extensive project portfolio. Maintains excellent communication with leadership. Identify, summarize, and distribute new federal and non-federal hearing/balance funding announcements to assist in aligning proposal development with funding opportunities. Provide detailed scientific/technical review to support the development of all knowledge products, including leadership briefings, scientific presentations, manuscripts for peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed journals, web content, grant proposals, etc.. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Expertise in experimental design and data analysis. Proficiency in relevant scientific software and tools. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong project management and organizational skills. Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Neurology Minimum ten (10) years of clinical and senior leadership or consultant role. Experience in audiology, hearing standards, and hearing protection programs. Expert in neurologic processing mechanisms for hearing-related and balance disorders. Expertise in all aspects of scientific knowledge synthesis including author, reviewing, and summarizing clinical and research data. Infographic design capabilities for hearing and balance-related topics such as central auditory processing disorders. US Citizen (able to obtain SECRET if needed).
