**Senior Chemist/Scientist in Polymer Chemistry**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Chemist/Scientist with extensive expertise in polymer chemistry to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who thrives in a solutions-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in exploring and developing innovative lithographic materials specifically tailored for advanced patterning solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct synthesis of organic compounds and polymers at laboratory scale up to several hundred grams.
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to devise effective experimental designs aimed at optimizing polymer properties.
+ Employ analytical tests (such as GPC, HPLC, GC, MS, UV/VIS, FTIR, NMR, IR, and GCMS) to facilitate effective process development, characterize products, and ensure final product quality.
+ Document experiments and assist in the preparation of technology transfer packages to Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
+ Develop and optimize processes to enhance material performance, reproducibility, and manufacturability.
+ Maintain full compliance with all departmental and site-specific Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations, systems, and procedures related to laboratory and scale-up activities.
+ Perform routine lab and business unit maintenance to keep the work area clean and orderly.
+ Maintain material and inventory databases and order chemical reagents from suppliers.
**Qualifications:**
+ Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field, with extensive professional experience in polymer chemistry.
+ In-depth understanding of various polymerization methods and polymerization kinetics.
+ Demonstrated experience with general laboratory techniques such as distillation, filtration, closed transfer, crystallization, rotary evaporators, vacuum pumps/ovens, and both small and large-scale glassware.
+ Proven experience in mentoring and assisting junior chemists, as well as involvement in process improvement and development of production and test methods.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to team projects, thriving in a team environment of shared goals and responsibilities.
+ Excellent organizational skills and accuracy in experimental documentation.
+ Proficiency in common IT applications (Microsoft Office).
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research progress in technical discussions and meetings.
