A senior trait scientist to design, exacute and manage agronomic traits projects, based in SBC. Provide technical expertise and knowledge to traits of interest for major crops, particularly maize and soy, for China and global units as well.

Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent in plant genetics, physiology, molecular biology or related field, and 5+ years professional experience in the area of agronomic traitsExperience in the area of agronomic traits including lead discovery and evaluation for major crops (maize, soy and rice preferred) with a proven record of success in the form of publications and/or patentsExperience in experimental design to understand the traits mentioned above under experimental conditions in the lab, greenhouse and fieldExperience to cope with a matrixed organization (cross-functional, cross-sites, cross-business) and technical environmentBroad knowledge of bioinformatics, genomics and biotechnology preferredExperience of post-doctoral preferredDemonstrated success in leading a complex results-oriented research project requiring scientific creativity, innovative thinking, organization and collaborative skillsExcellent analytical and communication skills in interpreting and presenting study resultsWell organized, good communication and networking skillsProficient in Chinese and English
