The PositionThe Analytical Research & Development department is part of Synthetic Molecules Technical Development and globally responsible for developing pioneering analytical methods, analysing raw materials, intermediates, active, and a variety of dosage forms of synthetic molecule development products and preparing regulatory documents for submission to health authorities.
The OpportunityAs a Senior Analytical Scientist you are responsible for the following main tasks:
Development of a phase-appropriate control strategy for a given pharmaceutical dosage form including the active and precursors.
Outcome-oriented collaboration with Stakeholders from drug substance and drug product process development and manufacturing, Technical Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance and various analytical partners (internal and external service providers, commercial manufacturing/testing/packaging sites etc.) within a Technical Development Team.
Coordination of comprehensive analytical activities (generation of physical and chemical data for a given material, development/ improvement and validation of analytical test methods or other analytical controls, generation of packaging-specific stability data and ensuring adequate documentation).
Coach technicians and junior scientists assigned to complete project work and act as point of contact for project related information.
Contribution in projects related to local or global initiatives, for example related to implementation of new technologies, digitalization or harmonization.
Who you areMSc in organic/analytical/food chemistry or pharmaceutics. PhD is an advantage
At least 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Good GMP understanding
Oligonucleotides/Peptides analytical development know-how is an advantage
Advanced digital skills
Good knowledge of simulation software, basic understanding of statistics is a plus
Very good English language skills. German language is a plus
