Location/Division Specific InformationOur PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic guides. Discover Impactful Work:The Senior scientist will work within our Pharma team focusing on Oligonucleotides and willperform complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products and proficiently use analytical instrumentation, calculate and analyse data and record data. They will routinely act as the project leader on multiple projects, interact with clients, review and evaluate data, write reports and protocols.
A day in the Life Independently performs method validations, method transfers and analytical testing of pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations.Designs and completes experiments with minimal supervision.Prepares study protocols, project status reports, final study reports and other project-related technical documents.Communicates data and technical issues to the client and responds to client needsMentors, trains and coordinates laboratory activities of other team members and assists in troubleshooting instruments and analytical problems.Assists in designing method validation or method transfer protocols and establishing project timelines.Reviews data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Education and ExperienceEducated to a bachelor's degree level in a relevant area, ie chemistry, biochemistry5+ years’ relevant industry experience within a GMP laboratory with experience in HPLC and Empower is essentialExperience in Method Validation, Method Transfer and Analytical testing.In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
