When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us. *JOB SUMMARY* Analysis of highly complex research projects in support of the design and contributes scientific expertise and advanced statistical skills to a research team. Participates in the preparation of abstracts, presentations and scientific manuscripts. *Key Areas of Responsibility * * **Designs, develops and conducts research protocols to obtain established goals, endpoints and high quality outcomes * Conducts advanced biostatistical analyses of clinical data and interpretation of results * Utilizes relevant database management skills and analysis of multivariate data sets * Composes and develops grant applications and prepares grant budgets * Publishes as first author or contributes to publications of Principal Investigator and research team * May coach and mentor other research staff and provide training on specialized project procedures * Works effectively as a team member with co-workers and investigators to provide quality service through communication and collaboration *Minimum Requirements* *Education* · Doctoral Degree [Ph.D, PharmD, DND] · Master’s degree in relevant field. *Experience* · *Doctoral degree*: Three (3) years of significant independent research experience including grant writing and/or publication · *Master’s degree:*Five (5) years of significant research experience including grant writing and/or publications. May require completion of research fellowship · *For some positions:*3**– 5 years of the required experience in the areas of Substance Abuse and/or neuroimaging. *Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements * * Considerable knowledge of research principles, procedures and relevant advanced scientific techniques * Considerable knowledge of experimental design and statistics * Expertise in computer applications as applicable to research area * Considerable knowledge of a relevant science and/or clinical area * Excellent communication (oral, written and listening) and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively as a team member with co-workers and investigator to provide quality service through communication and collaboration.
