Senior Scrum Master

Essential Functions

Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos.

Coordinate and manage dependencies across teams within the ART.

Ensure alignment of ART objectives with business goals and priorities.

Track and communicate ART progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the ART.

Support and coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other team members in Agile practices.

Manage and resolve impediments that may impact the ART’s progress.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements, especially in the payment domain.

Collaborate with other RTEs and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Skills/technical knowledge

Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

Certification - Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer or equivalent Agile certification is required; additional Agile certifications (such as SAFe, PMI-ACP) are a plus. 

Tools - Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Rally, with the ability to create custom dashboards, reports, and workflows. 

Experience - 

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a RTE role. 

Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects within an Agile framework. 

Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and guide team members and stakeholders. 

Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. 

Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (such as SAFe, LeSS) and managing multiple teams in a scaled environment. 

Knowledge of additional Agile tools (e.g., Confluence, VersionOne) is advantageous. 

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or similar.

Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management.

Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Experience in the payment domain is a significant advantage.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.


 

Minimum Qualification

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

Software Engineering, Information Systems or other Technical degree; additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
