Team Description
The Non-Functional Quality Engineering team is responsible for evaluating different Hadoop Software components of the upcoming Cloudera releases, in terms of scalability, durability, and robustness.Moreover, we are developing our toolsets, scripts, and Ansible modules in Python, Java, and Bash to automate and improve our daily activities. We are maintaining Docker images. We are running our software on Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure. We also operate our own ELK stack.At the very end of the day, we are utilizing the outcome of all the above activities to design, implement, execute and visualize test reports covering a wide range of performance scenarios.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
Put your technical prowess to the test by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive performance tests for Hadoop's distributed software components. Ensure their resilience under extreme workloads and customer simulations.
Unearth hidden software weaknesses and bring them to light with your meticulous testing and analysis. Provide insightful feedback to our product development teams, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Become a master toolsmith, developing and maintaining a suite of scripts, Ansible modules, AirFlow codebase and an ELK stack on Kubernetes, streamlining our testing processes and automating repetitive tasks.
Collaborate closely with product and field teams to ensure our customer simulations align with expectations, providing valuable feedback to our customers.
Motivate your less experienced colleagues by helping them with your general IT knowledge
We’re excited about you if you have:
Strong knowledge in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, C++, or C#.
Navigate yourself in Linux environments with confidence.
Identify critical weak spots in distributed software systems and tackle them head-on.
Solid interpersonal skills conducive to a distributed environment.
The ability to work independently on multiple tasks with a self-driven and motivated mindset.
You may also have:
Experience in developing automated test cases and test plans.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP public clouds.
Be proficient in creating Docker images and running pods on Kubernetes.
Be familiar with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
