Senior Secure Network Communications Engineer - Secret Clearance

As a Secure Network Communications Engineer, you will:

A week in the life of a Secure Network Communications Engineer:

Act as a representative for the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) SIPRNet Engineering Team providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 Secure Network Telecommunications support for more than 300 remote sites/locations Provide installation, operation, and maintenance of all hardware and software associated with the SIPRNet and NIPRNet to include Routers, Switches, and Encryption Devices and associated cabling Coordinate all tasks associated with delivery of SIPRNet data services, ensuring minimum network downtime through proactive problem analysis and restoration management Coordinate with remote site/location Points of Contact (POC), Logistics, and TIER 3 server engineers for operation, troubleshooting and logistics management of the SIPRNet Contribute experience/knowledge of maintenance solutions as a collaborative effort to streamline operation and maintenance of the SIPRNet (to include offering critical thinking solutions for future network enhancement and development) Review and update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to provide an accurate database of network assets and supporting information Prepare logistics documentation and shipping of items to/from USARC to remote sites/locations Provide troubleshooting assistance to remote sites/locations and in some cases traveling to those sites for onsite maintenance as needed/required to restore outages to the SIPRNet and/or NIPRNet Monitor the SIPRNet utilizing various tools such as GDS/GEMONE, S-SPECTRUM, and Prime. Assist the COMSEC Engineers in loading, troubleshooting, and maintaining the encryption devices for the SIPRNet.  (Knowledge in responsibilities for the proper storage, use, handling, inventory, destruction (when authorized), and security of all COMSEC material in your possession) Utilize the AESMP (Army Enterprise Service Managed Platform) Ticketing System to assign, monitor, update and document maintenance actions performed on the SIPRNet and NIPRNet for USARC Interact with high-ranking Government and Military Officials on a day-to-day basis supporting requests for services, and troubleshooting, and providing informational or status briefings regarding the condition of the network
