Job Description Summary:

The Principal, Security and IT is a member of the Security and IT Leadership Team responsible for the leadership and oversight for the operations of the organization and the overall success of the Security and IT portfolio of services. This role is responsible for assisting the CSO/CIO on the development and alignment of the strategic plans for Security and IT in congruence with the organization’s vision and mission. The Principal, Security and IT is also responsible for ensuring operations are operating effectively, efficiently, while implementing continuous improvements within the organization. Partners closely with Security and IT senior leadership team to include Corporate IT, Cyber Security, Classified IA/IT, Corporate Security, and Cleared Campuses to protect Draper’s assets and personnel while adhering to corporate and governmental security guidelines and policies.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

Oversee the business operations for Security/IT organization and serve as a principal advisor and strategist, providing critical support and guidance to senior Security/IT leadership on key business decisions.

Develops innovative Security/IT principles and ideas, to establish and implement Security/IT industry known best practices to implement “best-in-class” actions to enable the transformation of the organization.

Subject Matter Expert in multidisciplinary aspects of Security/IT to include, but not limited to special access programs, sensitive compartmented information programs, personnel security, strategy, metrics and trends to provide senior-level support to a broad set of customer needs/missions.

Direct essential activities as the Point Of Contact for the Chief Security Officer (CSO)/Chief Information Officer (CIO), orchestrating strategic leadership off-sites, coordinating organization-wide Town Halls meetings, functional Town Halls, managing weekly leadership discussions, campus engagement activities and convening focused sessions for targeted action and problem-solving.

Develops, executes, manages and monitors tracking mechanisms to maintain organization-wide metrics, velocity metrics and trends to enable data driven decisions.

Lead a matrixed multidisciplinary team to administer the strategy and key objectives, boosting operational efficiency and engagement to remedy complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative.

Project manager for a range of initiatives, leading to improved retention, strengthened culture, enhanced efficiency, and better communication. Plans and forecasts activity within the IT and Security teams as indicated by strategic and departmental projects/initiatives.

Provides support and briefings to the Executive Leadership Team partner to communicate a wide-range of topics.

Senior-level liaison between Security and IT and business units/functions to administer the strategic plan and execute through the management of related strategic projects to ensure alignment with operational goals and objectives.

Develops and implements methods of inspection, audit and analysis of all Draper security functions to determine reasonable performance levels and cost effectiveness.

Spearhead the launch and ongoing management of the transformation of the Security and IT brand, establish and maintain external and internal communication tools, such as LinkedIn to significantly enhancing our community presence.

Provide support to the Human Resources and DEI  Business Partner through the execution of key HR related deliverables.

Education

Requires bachelor's degree combined with Security and IT experience, master’s degree preferred


Experience

Requires 8+ years’ Security and IT experience, in large scale, highly complex Department of Defense programs

In-scope TS/SCI with SAP experience
