Senior Security Automation Engineer – Vulnerability Management, AVP

We are seeking a Senior Security Automation Engineer to join our Platform Engineering org and enhance our vulnerability management capabilities through automation and orchestration The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering Tanium, developing and troubleshooting Ansible playbooks, and integrating security tools to improve efficiency and scalability. This role requires strong expertise in security automation, scripting and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Serve as the primary Tanium administrator, ensuring availability, performance, and security of the platform. Develop and optimize Tanium modules, sensors., packages, and deployments to enhance endpoint security. Troubleshoot and resolve Tanium-related issue, including connectivity, performance, and data collection. Manage Tanium platform upgrades, patching, and configuration to align with security policies. Collaborate with security and IT team to leverage Tanium for vulnerability management, asset discovery, and compliance monitoring. Design, write and maintain Ansible playbooks for security automation, configuration management and infrastructure provisioning.  Troubleshoot Ansible scripts and ensure reliability in Linux and Windows environments. Automate security workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency. Work with vulnerability management teams to automate remediation and patch deployment. Develop custom scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to support security automation initiatives. Maintain documentation, including runbooks, playbooks and system configurations. 

Required Qualifications: 

5+ years of experience in security automation, system administration, or security engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Tanium administration (module configuration, sensors, packages, troubleshooting) Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting Ansible playbooks for automation and system hardening. Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration. Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation. Experience with APIs for security tool integrations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Tanium Certified Administrator or Tanium Certified Specialist. Experience working in DevSecOps or CI/CD security automation. Basic understanding of networking, firewalls and endpoint security best practices.
