Senior Security Officer

Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas of the CHS campus to deter, detect and investigate crime or any suspicious activity, which could cause harm to individuals or property. Provides information and assistance to patients, employees and visitors. Writes detailed incident reports, and various other reports as required. Takes and maintains control of disruptive individuals for arrest by Lubbock Police Department, when situations warrant this action. Primary emphasis is placed on the safety of the individual and loss prevention.  Serves as the Senior Officer for assigned shift providing leadership and guidance to the shift.

Required Qualifications:

within 30 days of hire Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer - Texas Private Security Board - Texas Department of Public Safety.  upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. 2 years Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Police experience, preferably within a hospital or campus environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training 30 hours of higher education coursework. Coursework/Training Documented customer service training. 2 years Experience in the Covenant Security department.
