Tenable Cloud Security was born out of the acquisition of Ermetic, an innovative cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) company, and a leading provider of CIEM. The acquisition marks an important milestone in Tenable’s mission to shift organizations to proactive security and deliver market-leading contextual risk visibility, prioritization and remediation across infrastructure and identities, both on-premises and in the cloud.
Your Opportunity:
Tenable Cloud Security is seeking a senior cloud security researcher to join our talented team of folks who live and breathe cloud security. The job includes researching the cloud’s different assets, roles, relations, and configurations to lead innovation and problem-solving, build strategies for attacking and defending cloud environments, and foster a profound understanding.
You will work closely with the product and engineering teams to ensure that our deep understanding of cloud security translates into value and features to secure Tenable Cloud Security’s customers.
Furthermore, you will be in charge of fostering technical expertise and innovation. You will present your novel work at conferences and author papers and blogs.

Your Role:
Serve as a technical leader and contributor for a research team exploring emerging cloud technologies and services
Conduct technical research on cloud platforms to yield new insights, theories, analyses, data, algorithms, and prototypes
Work closely with the product and engineering teams to solve difficult problems and lead innovation in the product
Follow emerging security trends and threats, author blogs about novel cloud research, and deliver content to customers and the cloud security community
What You'll Need:
7+ years of experience in security research, vulnerability research, threat research, cloud R&D, or offensive security
Experience with and knowledge of cloud environment architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Data analysis and coding skills
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Highly motivated, great self-learner, curious, responsible and independent
And Ideally:
B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional background
Threat intelligence, red team, or incident response experience
Experience with Kubernetes and container technology
Experience with data/security analysis
Knowledge of OS Internals
Web exploitation experience
Reverse Engineering experience
