KBR is seeking a Senior Security Specialist in our office in Dayton, Ohio. A DoD Secret clearance is required

This is a multidisciplinary security position requiring a self-sustaining qualified security professional.  The primary mission is to mitigate risk and promote the safety and security of company personnel and assets, and to ensure compliance with U.S. government and other customer security requirements in support of U.S. national security interests.

As a security analyst, the individual will assist the site Facility Security Officers (FSO) with the implementation of  security processes necessary to protect classified information with strict adherence to 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule,  Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and other applicable Executive Orders and  Department of Defense (DoD) manuals and regulations.

This position requires a current DoD security clearance at a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities:

Aid the security team supporting all aspects of the security program(s) with strict compliance with government, customer, and company security policies utilizing the NISPOM, ICDs, Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/1 and DoDM 5105.21 Volumes 1-3 and other applicable directives, policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence CommunityMaintain/initiate personnel security records and clearances for collateral and SCI related programs to include the use of Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) system.Ability to multi-task a variety of complex and in-depth tasks across multiple sitesAvailability to respond to after-hour alarms and emergency conditionsProvide security indoctrinations, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessaryCollaborate with internal and external customers to ensure understanding of program operations requirements.Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspections, and other COMSEC related supportContribute to internal self-inspections and customer security reviewsOversee and assist with classified meetings, coordinating with meeting host(s)Support the physical security of the facility, to include badging, visitor processing, access control and onsite security activitiesAssist with security containers program, provide custodian/user training, ship and receive classified materialAssist with updating and implementing security policies and procedures

Required Skills: 

Demonstrated Security experience (evidenced through work experience, college coursework, military or on-the-job training)Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain TS access.3 - 5+ years of experience as a Security ProfessionalWorking knowledge of and experience with the NISPOM, as well as, other national level security directives.Demonstrated knowledge utilizing DISS/NBIS and SWFTCustomer and team oriented and able to function with limited supervision.Ability to work well under pressure, possess good problem-solving and communication skills, and be able to enforce policies in a professional and personable mannerA proficient briefer capable of training large numbers of personnelHighly organized and have advanced oral & written communication skills, strong computer skills in MS SuiteAbility to work independently or in group settingsCritically analyze situations and use good judgment to solve complex and in-depth tasksMaintain and update security databases i.e., SIMS, internal data repository, Lenel access control system

Preferred Skills:
