Do you have offshore engineering experience and desire to lead major service projects?
We are currently looking for a motivated Senior Service Engineer who will be responsible to perform and supervise service activities (refurbishment, upgrades, preventive maintenance and corrective actions) on MacGregor and equivalent 3rd party equipment.
Our professional team of service engineers ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, accurately and in a friendly manner. In addition to supporting management and the rest of the organization in necessary areas. You will also support Service overall goals and budgets, while ensuring that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards.
Our office and workshop are located in Bergen however the work is performed onboard vessels or shipyards globally, therefore willingness to travel is essential.
What you’ll need to succeed Technical education Bachelors or Technical college level within technical engineering with a degree in steel work, mechanics, hydraulic, electrics or electronics engineering Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education Ability to manage a big repair work in which at least 5 foreign workers are involved. Organize transports, tools, material, spare parts as well as food and accommodation Ability to work independently Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively Willingness to travel is essential Proficient in spoken and written Norwegian and English.
