Examples of Duties 1. Supervises and organizes the activities of a group of employees engaged in municipal property protection work, including, but not limited to, the patrolling of grounds, building and parks to prevent vandalism, illegal acts and disorderly conduct. 2. Schedules regular and emergency work assignments. 3. Responds to and resolves the more unusual circumstances. 4. Interprets departmental policies, rules, regulations and City ordinances as they apply in unusual instances. 5. Summons and assists police authorities. 6. Informs staff members of changes in departmental rules and of new City ordinances affecting security work activities. 7. Instructs subordinates in the proper execution of their duties. 8. Monitors personal appearance of subordinates. 9. Reviews work performance and records and determines situations requiring special attention. 10. Detects and reports irregularities or special situations. 11. Obtains information relative to cases of vandalism, illegal activity, or immoral behavior on or about municipal facilities in conjunction with members of the police force. 12.
