Meet your team: 

Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) develops and delivers services for cloud infrastructure and cloud operations to SAP Lines of Business (LoB) and through them, our external customers. We support LoBs and their customers' cloud adoption journey through four hyperscaler public clouds and SAP's Infrastructure-as-a-Service.

Service Management (SM) is a team within GCID organization. The team focuses on monitoring, supporting, and improving cloud service levels for LoBs. The team is also responsible for ensuring ITIL standards are followed, and improvements are ongoing. 

 

What you'll do : 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This role requires extensive knowledge of ServiceNow, exceptional programming skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Specifically, you will:

Design, develop, and implement custom applications and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform to support GCID ITSM/ITOM processes in incident, problem, change, service request, event or CMDB areas. Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture requirements for all stories. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members. Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with architects to design scalable and maintainable solutions. Work closely with business analysts, process owners, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed solutions to ensure quality and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects in a timely manner. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions. Provide training and support to end-users and administrators. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the platform. Implement enhancements and optimizations to improve the overall performance of ServiceNow solutions.

 

What you bring: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer. Proven track record of successful ServiceNow implementations and customizations. Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), or related areas. Proficiency with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms. Proficiency in object-oriented programming skills e.g. JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and other ServiceNow development tools. Strong software engineering knowledge (version control, API design, database design, testing, code quality etc.). Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM etc. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration technologies. Knowledge in user interface development of web-based applications and database development (SQL, XML, etc.) also will be regarded as a plus. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (Preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Competent in English (spoken and written) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members. Ability to work in an international setup and with remote development teams and stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
