Senior ServiceNow Developer - ITSM/ITOM/SPM/HRSD

The Company

A global technology consultancy who has a portfolio of resources projects in Australia. As a result of supporting these projects, we are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join the team.

 

Your Responsibilities

Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications and modules, including ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, APM, CPG, SAM/HAM, ensuring alignment with client requirements. Customization & Scripting: Customize ServiceNow platform, including workflows, UI actions, business rules, and service catalog items, using JavaScript and other tools to meet business needs. Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems (REST, SOAP, and other APIs), ensuring seamless data exchange and efficient processes. Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve system performance and scalability, ensuring the ServiceNow environment is efficient and meets user needs. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure high-quality delivery. Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior developers and team members. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team. Testing & Documentation: Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the solution works as intended. Create and maintain technical documentation. Upgrade Support: Participate in ServiceNow platform upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations and system functionality.

 

What you'll need to succeed

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, APM, CPG, and SAM/HAM modules. Proven experience in customizing ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide, and other scripting languages. Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.) and data management. Expertise in ServiceNow scripting and automation, including Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and Workflow Design. Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features.
