As Senior Shipping Team Lead you will be responsible for picking/packing/loading and shipping IDEXX products to international & Domestic customers or distribution centers. You will prepare export documentation and products, ensuring accuracy of documentation and shipments, and troubleshooting and resolving issues as required.
Schedule: The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm with some room for flexibility and the expectation of overtime.
What you can expect in this role:
You will be responsible for international & Domestic customer and distribution center product shipments by performing one or more of the following duties:
You will pick/pack/load/verify international & domestic shipments. You may verify orders packed by others.
You will assist/prepare export documentation and products for shipping OUS.
You will ensure that all air waybills, commercial invoices and export declarations are accurate, and that all U.S. Department of Commerce U.S. Export Regulations are followed.
You will assist/coordinate/book space on aircrafts and coordinate shipments with forwarders.
You will communicate with customs brokers to resolve and expedite problem shipments.
You will prepare all inventory transfers to worldwide distribution facilities and complete all computer processing.
You will process receipt of finished goods from manufacturing to stock.
You will assist/be responsible for international warehouse staging locations ensuring materials are properly transferred in and out of location.
You will monitor and/or be responsible for SAP systems corrections of soft allocations.
You may be the Distributions point person for IT issues.
You will follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations. May assist, document, develop and update SOPs. May ensure that SOPs are followed.
You may coach, mentor and train new employees and temporary labor on proper warehouse operations and systems, and compliance and regulations. May provide feedback and ensure SOPs are followed.
What you need to succeed:
A High school diploma or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Certified to operate a forklift, if required.
Certified to work with hazardous materials, if required.
Knowledge of customs rules, regulations and export documentation a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with minimum supervision as required.
Ability to learn and follow distribution SOPs and ISO 9002 regulations. Existing knowledge is a plus.
Good computer skills including SAP and MS Office (Word and Excel).
Physical demands:
Ability to properly lift up to 70 pounds.
Frequent lifting of large, unwieldy boxes or containers.
Must be able to work for extended periods of time standing, sitting, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk and hear.
Ability to use motorized lift equipment, if applicable.
Moderate to high computer use.
Work environment:
Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing and equipment may be required.
Moderate to high noise level.
