Job Description
Studio Managers at ASOS are the key leadership figures in the smooth, professional and successful running of ASOS Studios. They have an eye for all thing’s creative, a practical ability for implementation and strategic mindset to deliver departmental and business goals. As one of our leadership team, you will be working closely with the management, wider senior teams and stakeholders across the business. You will lead, mentor and inspire the team to deliver the best ecommerce assets in the industry for the ASOS product pages, to appeal directly to the 20 something customer. You will drive department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively. You will have the ability to successfully lead a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset.
What you’ll be doing…
Reporting directly into the Head of Studio, you will be responsible for all aspects of management of the Shoot Producer team within ASOS Studios. This will primarily include product page enrichment of 1000+ products per dayLeading creative implementation, budget, cost per product, and guarantee volumetric KPIs are adhered toPossess the relevant skill, knowledge and management ability to lead the Shoot Producer team. Scrutinising all processes throughout the day to day and with a strategic overviewResponsible for ensuring all Shoot Producers are creatively equipped to deliver expectations in line with BAU segment and other briefsEnsure the team deliver the key functions in the end-to-end workflow for Shoot Production and supporting tasksCollaborating on and deliver Shoot Production for creative projects, elevated and focus shoots both in ASOS Studios and on locationDeliver team performance KPIs/ SLAs are met to agree levels and constantly identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiencyAccountable for the definition, creation, maintenance and communication of shoot guidesWorking with the other managers and stakeholders to oversee, develop and implement strategic segment evolution, aligned to current trends and fashion relevancyCollaborating with department and retail stakeholders on future shoot development and relaying direction to team in a concise effective wayManage pre planning and preparation for scheduled shootsEnsure workshops and training the team is constantly carried out in varied creative specialtiesConducting regular 1-2-1’s with your direct reports. Reviewing personal objectives, ensuring they are supported and guided, and their skill set is developed, and progression assessed. Be accountable that the same is consistently applied to your downlineHave a strategic plan for and constantly asses the succession plan within your team at all levelsEncouraging team growth and development through objectives and training, ensuring the team are striving to support in the delivery of the department strategyOrganise and lead departmental meetings and contribute to external meetings with key stakeholdersBe recognised as an aspirational figure within your team and the wider departmentLead the team to follow established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategyEnsure your direct reports are working with PX and internal resourcers to select, interview and onboard new full-timers. Simultaneously maintain a high-quality freelance pool to augment the team when volume requiresEnsure your direct reports are deploying of fulltime and freelance team resource to optimise the collective team skill set including day to day management in response to absenceEncouraging the team to be authentic, brave and creative and motivate them to follow all company and departmental strategies with the highest levels of engagementResponsible for developing and implementing your leadership style and communication in line with ASOS Behaviours policyWorking closely with other Management team and all other levels within ASOS Studios to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio teamForming strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Championing all aspects of ASOS Studios in every interactionDemonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition to ensure we are market leadersDesigning and implementing automated workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processesOverseeing departmental technology software and hardware development and launchesDelivering projects to support the department strategy and any other adhoc tasks and projects defined by the Head of Studio
