KBR is seeking a Senior SIGINT Systems Engineer to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly, VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems. We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and execution of next-generation SIGINT systems needs for the next 10-20 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.
The SIGINT Systems Architect serves as an advisor to support the Government in defining new mission requirements, performing oversight of modeling and simulation, architectural definition clarifying the types of system capabilities, orbits, collection requirements, and system needs for the intelligence and DoD communities. The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award
Specific responsibilities may include:
+ Assist in the execution and management of systems engineering
+ Assist in the execution of the Engineering/Data Requirements
+ Participate in developing systems engineering artifacts required for a request for proposal and evaluating proposers’ systems engineering artifacts in proposals
+ Perform technical management to include schedule assessment of vendor and supplier activities
+ Participate in regular interactions with other system engineers and government direct vendors
+ Assist in ensuring that vendors execute systems engineering processes as required
+ Assist the SIGINT IPT with technical reviews, requirements verification, CDRLs, and other data, and make a determination of the applicability of technical comments provided by SMEs during document reviews
+ Assist in the collection, organization, distribution, and interpretation of technical data relating to system test and evaluation including both Government and Vendor SMEs
+ Assist with the coordination of SETR events, including tailoring and scoring of SETR checklists, development of agenda and event coordination, and development of related briefing materials
Minimum qualifications:
+ Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)
+ 10+ years of experience in SIGINT systems engineering
+ Familiarity with IC acquisition policies and procedures.
+ Demonstrated experience with IC acquisition milestones and development of acquisition packages for milestone reviews.
+ Systems engineering background with space systems acquisition experience and working with hardware developers.
+ IV&V credentials
+ Test & Evaluation experience
+ Strong communication skills (written and oral)
+ Strong understanding of system and subsystem manufacturing, Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T), quality assurance and mission assurance activities for spacecraft, payloads and ground software
