These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction. **How will you make a difference?** As a Senior Signalling Engineer, you will provide high level technical support, leadership and supervision in relation to design, checking and validating signaling systems in accordance with statutory, regulatory, company and client standards. You will be expected to bring your expertise to the team, mentoring junior engineers and guiding them in system design and competency development. **What will your typical day look like?** In your role, you will: + Prepare schedules for preliminary and detailed designs of signalling systems that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements; + Monitor progress and initiate remedial action where required to ensure signalling projects are completed on time and within budget; + Supervise preparation of documentation for standards and specifications in relation to signalling systems; + Provide high level technical support for all signalling projects as required; + Act as independent checker verifying signalling designs and application data prepared by others; + Act as a Team Leader to support complex signalling projects + Participate in factory acceptance testing and/or site testing of signalling systems and equipment; + Participate in the commissioning of signalling systems; + Report on signalling projects as required; **What do we want to know about you?** **_You must have:_** + Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent. + 10 to 15 years experience working as Signalling Professional in Australia + Level 2 Signalling Competency from either MTM/Vline, ARTC or QR + RPEV or REPQ or be eligible to achieve this accreditation _We would love it if you had:_ + IRSE Accreditation + Knowledge of Computer Based Interlocking (CBI) systems + Be able to conduct factory acceptance testing and/or principles testing of CBI systems + Knowledge of grade crossing predictors and other level crossing technologies You will also have opportunities to perform other duties outside of your core responsibilities, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
