Application deadline is expected to close on Nov 17, 2024 What You’ll Do: As a Senior Engineer for Simulation & Automation, on the Cisco 8000 team, you will be responsible for leading, implementing, and optimizing simulation software and tools used in accelerating our IOS-XR & SONIC development. You will work with Silicon One ASIC, SDK, and Network software teams to create digital twice of our router and AI fabric products. Who you’ll Work With: You will be working alongside engineers who are passionate about tackling complex technology, building large scale distributed systems, and contributing to open-source communities and technologies. You will be part of a fast-paced work environment, responsible for revolutionizing our software development process through application of cutting-edge simulation technology. Who You Are: You are a passionate engineer with proven ability to deliver complete software projects with minimal supervision, leveraging technical knowledge and collaborating to solve issues in a multi-functional organization. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelors with 7+ years’ experience Or, Master’s with 4+ years’ experience in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering in implementing and deploying simulators or related tools and infrastructure. * Experience with C/C++ programming. * Experience modeling ASIC’s and NPUs. * Experience in python/scripting languages. Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of virtualization and related technologies * Good understanding of networking protocols * Linux networking knowledge * Excellent problem-solving, debugging and analytical skills * High level of work autonomy and sense of responsibility Why Cisco? #WeAreCisco.
